Programme "Invest your talent in Italy"




The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development, the Agency for the promotion and internationalization of the Italian Companies, the Italian Chambers of Commerce and private sponsors, offers 5 scholarships to meritorious students from India to pursue Specialised Masters courses  and/or 1st and 2nd Level Masters courses held in English in Engineering & High Technologies, Economics, Management and Social Sciences, Architecture and Design in the following, among the most prestigious, Universities/Higher Educational Institutions in Italy:

University of Bologna; Bocconi University, Milan; University of Genova; Luiss Guido Carlo University, Rome; University of Macerata; Institute of Marangoni, Milan; Polytechnic of Milan; Polytechnic of Turin; Catholic Sacred Heart University of Milan; Scuola Superiore of Sant’Anna, Pisa; University of Trento; University ‘Tor Vergata’ of Rome; University ‘La Sapienza’ of Rome; Venice International University; University of Padova; University of Salerno; University ‘Federico II’ of Naples; University of Cassino and University of Pavia.

·         Age not exceeding 35 years (i.e., born after 1.6.1976);

·         For Specialised Masters courses: University Graduation Degree (3 years);

·         For 1st and 2nd Level Masters courses: As per specific requirement of the course to be pursued and as notified by the concerned University/Higher Educational Institution in the above list;

·         Excellent knowledge of English;


The scholarship under the scheme ‘Invest your Talent in Italy’ shall be effective from October 2012 and carries an all inclusive stipend of 700 Euro per month and a Health Insurance policy. All other expenses including International and local travel, boarding and lodging are to be borne by the candidate.

The higher studies shall be completed with a minimum of three months’ compulsory internship (on-the-job training) with Italian Companies as identified by the Universities or by the Partners of the Programme and agreed to by the students.

It is necessary to select ‘Progetto speciale Invest Your Talent in Italy’ while compiling the online application with all relevant details. Students who have earlier applied for Italian Government Scholarships 2012 online should use a different e-mail id. Students can indicate three preferences in the University/Courses listed above, but the Selection Committee can assign them a University other than the one preferred.

After submitting their application forms online, applicants must send the following to the Italian Cultural Centre, 50-E Chandragupta Marg (Entry from Nyaya Marg), Chanakyapuri, New Delhi-110021.

Ø  On-line-Application Form – printed and signed, with passport-size photo attached;

Ø  Authenticated copies of academic qualifications;

Ø  Two letters of introduction from academic authorities;

Ø  Letter of acceptance/enrollment from the host institution.


Last date for registration of online applications is 15 July 2012.

Only those candidates whose applications are complete in all respects shall reach the Italian Embassy Cultural Centre, 50-E Chandragupta Marg, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi-110021 on 20 July at 9.00 a.m for Personal Interview.

Candidates have to make their own arrangements for travel, boarding and lodging in New Delhi. The Embassy shall not reimburse any expenditure in this regard.
