Cut Outs by Picolli Principi Theatre, Italy is a nonverbal play.
It is a wondrous and mesmerizing experience where visual arts meets storytelling. Inspired by the paper cut outs of Matisse, Picasso and Hans Christian Andersen, an artist weaves the story of the Steadfast Tin Soldier and other fantastical tales using paper images, projections, and music.
The play has an exceptional quality of appealing to young children as well as teenagers and grown-ups.
Since the premiere of this show in Germany at the Hellwach Children’s Theatre Festival in 2017, Cut Outs has played at International Festivals in Austria, Paris and recently at Toronto. This tour of Cut Outs presented by ThinkArts is the first time this piece will be performed in India.
