We inform you that the current epidemiological situation in India has led to the adoption of new measures relating to the arrival in Italy from Indian territory.<\/p>\n
By the Ordinance of 25 April 2021, the Minister of Health has established that,\u00a0from 27 April 2021, it is forbidden to enter and transit in the national territory to persons who in the fourteen (14) days before<\/span>\u00a0the entry into force of the Ordinance have stayed or transited in India. The measure, launched to contain the spread of the Sars-Cov-2 virus, is temporary and is currently in force until 12 May 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n According to the Ordinance,\u00a0entry into the national territory and air traffic from India are allowed<\/span>\u00a0to those who:<\/p>\n a) have their\u00a0registered residence in Italy from a date before 26 April 2021<\/span>;<\/p>\n b) intend to reach the domicile, home, or residence of minor children, spouse or part of the civil union<\/span>;<\/p>\n c) are\u00a0authorized by the Ministry of Health<\/span>\u00a0to enter Italy for imperative reasons of necessity.<\/p>\n Such entries are possible\u00a0as long as the subjects do not exhibit symptoms of COVID-19<\/span>.<\/p>\n Those entitled to enter the national territory are also subject to:<\/p>\n a) obligation to present to the carrier, at the time of boarding, and to anyone appointed to carry out the checks, of the\u00a0certification proving that they have undergone a molecular or antigenic test in the seventy-two (72) hours before entry into the national territory, carried out through a swab, which has given a negative result;<\/span><\/p>\n b)\u00a0obligation to undergo a molecular or antigen test, to be carried out through a swab, upon arrival at the airport (port or border place) where possible, or within forty-eight (48) hours of entry into the national territory at the local health unit of reference.<\/span>\u00a0In case of entry into the national territory by flight from India, the swab referred to must be carried out at the airport upon arrival;<\/p>\n c) obligation to undergo – regardless of the outcome of the test referred to in letter b) – to\u00a0health surveillance and fiduciary isolation for ten (10) days at the home or residence<\/span>, upon notification of their entry in the national territory to the Prevention Department of the competent health authority for the territory;<\/p>\n d) obligation to carry out a\u00a0further molecular or antigen test<\/span>\u00a0at the end of the ten (10) days of quarantine.<\/p>\n Entry into the national territory\u00a0is also allowed<\/span>\u00a0for:<\/p>\n –\u00a0business or health reasons<\/span>\u00a0for a stay of up to\u00a0120 hours<\/span>;<\/p>\n – workers of companies with\u00a0registered or secondary offices in Italy<\/span>\u00a0for a stay of up to\u00a0120 hours<\/span>;<\/p>\n – officials of the EU or OO.II, foreign diplomats accredited to the Italian Republic and other personnel,<\/p>\n The admissions are allowed with the authorization of the Ministry of Health or, according to current health protocols, validated as per the following regulations:<\/p>\n a) fulfillment of the obligation to\u00a0submit the declaration to the carrier,<\/span>\u00a0upon boarding, and to anyone appointed to carry out checks, on the countries visited in the previous fourteen (14) days and the reasons to visit Italy, according to art. 50 of the Prime Ministerial Decree of 2 March 2021;<\/p>\n b) presentation to the carrier at the time of embarkation and to anyone appointed to carry out the checks, of the certification of having undergone, in the forty-eight (48) hours before entry into the national territory, to a molecular or antigenic test, carried out through swab and negative result<\/span>;<\/p>\n c) subjected to a\u00a0molecular or antigen test<\/span>, to be carried out through a swab,\u00a0upon arrival at the airport, port, or border place, where possible, or within forty-eight (48) hours of entry into the national territory at the local health unit of reference<\/span>.<\/p>\n International flights from India<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The Indian authorities have extended the\u00a0suspension<\/span>\u00a0of international flights to and from India\u00a0until 30 April 2021<\/span><\/span>: international air mobility is ensured only by special flights. Consequently, regular commercial flights from India to Italy are currently not operational, and to reach Italy from India, it is generally necessary to use flights with a stopover.<\/p>\n Lufthansa and AirFrance\/KLM<\/span>\u00a0currently operate their flights between India and Europe. Those airlines operate some flights a week departing from Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore. Concerned nationals who wish to return to Italy are invited to\u00a0contact the airlines<\/span>\u00a0mentioned above to verify their effective operation to and from India.<\/p>\n It should be noted that,\u00a0starting from 26 April 2021, Germany has banned Schengen transit for those arriving at German airports from India<\/span>.
