Call for Proposals 2017
Through the initiative “Supporting TAlent in ReSearch@University of Padova” – STARS Grants, UniPD intends to promote and encourage high quality, innovative and ambitious research in Padova, with the final goal to strengthen the ability to attract external competitive grants, in particular those awarded by the European Research Council.
STARS Grants are envisaged to fund research projects for the duration of two years, of the following types:
STARS Starting Grants (STARS-StG): designed to fund excellent PIs in their early career stage and who are about to establish their own research team and/or who are starting their own independent research;STARS Consolidator Grants (STARS-CoG): designed to fund excellent PIs, who are already conducting research at UniPD and who are in the phase of consolidating their own research team and/or their own independent research.STARS Wild Card Grants (STARS-WiC): designed to fund PIs who submitted a project to the 2014, 2015, or 2016 ERC calls for proposals, indicated UniPD as their Host Institution and obtained a final mark of “A”, thus qualified for funding but were not funded due to budget limits.
